Stevens Engineering manufactures subplates up to 120" long and 60" wide. Tables that exceed this require multiple section subplates. It is sometimes beneficial to make smaller subplates in multiple sections as well.

In the case of this subplate for a DMG the machine table is already in sections. During installation, Rigging blocks are used to accurately coordinate the grid pattern from one section to another. The same installation proceedure is used with multiple plates that are rectangle.
